Steve is a visionary executive with over two decades of experience in spearheading digital transformation and driving substantial growth. Recognized for his strategic acumen and leadership, Steve excels at translating brand vision into effective marketing strategies. His experience includes working with private equity, securing two successful exits, and building influential partnerships that enhance revenue and expand audiences. Notably, Steve transformed The Gypsy Nurse from a modest blog into the largest online community for travel nurse professionals, growing its membership and following to over 650K across multiple digital channels. Additionally, he expanded TravCon to become the largest global conference for healthcare travelers, significantly accelerating revenue growth, profitability, and industry impact.

Steve is widely recognized as a powerful and positive influencer, with deep expertise in personal development and industry processes. His unique advantage lies in his ability to stand out among leaders, evidenced by a proven track record in launching and scaling start-ups, securing private funding, and crafting compelling brand narratives across diverse digital platforms. Steve’s efforts have consistently enhanced market awareness, boosted brand visibility, and fostered strong customer loyalty.

Steve’s career began in 1994 as an Education Sales Manager and eLearning Program Manager at Sybase in Concord, MA. From 2000 to 2003, he advanced to roles as the Developer Certification Program Manager and the Director of Worldwide Curriculum Development and Certification at Macromedia, which was later acquired by Adobe, in Newton, MA.

From 2003 to 2005, Steve served as the Senior Director of Worldwide Education Products at Parametric Technology Corporation in Needham, MA. From 2005 to 2007, he held the role of Senior Director of Worldwide Knowledge Products at Pegasystems, where he generated $25M in annual training revenue, boosted site membership by over 400%, and grew certified developers by 250%.

From 2007 to 2010, Steve served as the Vice President of Marketing, Content, and Strategic Partnerships at NurseTogether.com in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where he co-founded one of the industry’s largest and most successful social media communities for nurses. From 2010 to 2014, he was the Vice President of Marketing at Cirrus Medical Staffing in Charlotte, NC, where he implemented innovative marketing programs that directly contributed to doubling revenue from $15M in 2010 to $30M in 2013.

From 2015 to 2019, Steve joined Go Healthcare Staffing in Charlotte, NC, taking on a dual role with marketing responsibilities at CEO Inc. He led all marketing efforts for the rapidly growing healthcare staffing startup, backed by CEO Inc.’s investor group. Steve spearheaded website development, applicant tracking system (ATS) integration, social media engagement, online events, content creation, branding initiatives, email marketing campaigns, Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

From 2014 to 2019, served as the Vice President of Marketing at CEO Inc. in Charlotte, NC, where he led the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies and initiatives. He enhanced the company’s digital footprint through targeted email campaigns and a strengthened social media presence, leading to increased online visibility and improved lead generation.

In 2019, Steve assumed the roles of Chief Executive Officer and Chief Marketing Officer at The Gypsy Nurse (TGN) and TravCon (The Travel Healthcare Conference) in Greater Boston, MA. He has been instrumental in establishing the world’s largest and most recognized community for travel nurses and allied health professionals by implementing innovative digital marketing strategies that have significantly boosted brand recognition and community engagement, growing the audience from 25K to over 650K followers and members across multiple digital platforms.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication from Northeastern University. He has completed numerous professional development programs, including the Venture Lab Accelerator Program from the University of Central Florida. Steve holds a Digital Marketing Certificate from Cornell University, an Online Marketing Certificate from the American Marketing Association, and a Social Media Marketing Certificate from SkillPath.
